NERD POKER
I do not think that there are words known to humanity that could describe the level of excitement that housed itself in my body for the duration of this project. Brian Posehn. Dungeons & Dragons. Swords. Armor. The universe was truly looking in my direction the day this project landed in my lap.
Brian wanted to lean on the 2nd Edition D&D books, and feature him on a horse with a sweet blade. Holy elder gods, yes!!! It was like he KNEW what existed in my sketchbooks already. I took to the pages and started to get in the groove. I had a few false starts in Photoshop before finally getting final line art nailed down on bristol board. Scanned that into Photoshop and proceeded to finish it all up.
I’m super stoked with how it turned out. If you’re a fan of Brian’s or of Dungeons & Dragons, I implore you to go listen to the show.

IMPROV 4 HUMANS
Make a logo for another Matt Besser’s new improv 4 humans show?! Ummmm… yes please. We started with a sketchfest in my book of secrets. After some initial feedback and some other refined ideas, we settled on the Besserdog.
I pulled a few reference files and rendered the final for coloring. I then had the very gracious Benjamin “Adventureface” Braman digitally paint the illustration while I worked on the final layout for the cover.

YEAH! Go check out i4h. It is consistently on it’s game and makes me cry laughing.

EARWOLF CHALLENGE LOGO
This was one of the easiest logos I got to put together for Earwolf. I provided a handful of colors options [first image] and we finally settled on the yellow and dark blue combo [second image].
The highly anticipated follow up to Blaze and Rod Ogg’s Hardhats & Margaritas.
THIS!
Can’t wait for that new album by Blaze & Rod Ogg, aka Bryan Pieces and Jack Sjunior, aka Adam Scott and Harris Wittels.

EARWOLF POSTER PROCESS
Ever wondered how that fancy schmancy Earwolf poster came to be? I’ve got a secret, it started in a book that looks to be managed by a serial lunatic (me) and finally finished on a bonafide press. Here are the very first thumbnail sketches I produced when tasked with producing a poster in only a matter of weeks.
After that massacare, I finally started to narrow it down to a smaller handful of approaches. I rendered new art for final scans and then took to the computer to make them sexy and smooth.
When all was said and done, we settled on the mounted wolf head which you can just so happen to procure here. Jeff and Scott even sign it! As a little bonus to this “look back”, I went ahead and included some options that just didn’t make the cut — much to my chagrin. Oh well, perhaps they’ll see production one day.

THE ICE ELF COMETH
I can’t think of a better way to start this whole tumbling thing off than with a post serving as a sacrifice to the Ice Elf that Matt Besser’s Björk can summon with… well, who even knows?! I did this out of pure joy, only to find out I’d soon be working on BOTH of Matt’s show logos on Earwolf. I’m looking forward to sharing more of all that I haven’t done AND have done, for Earwolf.
I thought it might be cool to see the sketch AND final product… right?
Of course I’m right. I’m also write. *cough* DON’T JUDGE ME!
